Spinning Wardrobes Voted 3rd Best at the 2016 Auckland Home Show

The iconic Auckland Home Show is the largest building and renovation show south of the equator. It draws people from all over Australasia, including us at Lazy Lee.

It was so exciting to be a part of this inspiring 5-day event that showcases the latest products, services, and trends in the home improvement, home design and outdoor living.

The nice thing about the Auckland Home Show is that it attracts DIYers, handymen (and women), homeowners, renters and professional decorators and builders. The events gives people of all home improvement and decor backgrounds the opportunity to test out the cutting-edge innovations, meet leading renovation and design experts, and participate in free seminars that cover everything from dream kitchen designs to the latest smart home technologies.

As exhibitors we got to chance to meet incredible innovators and people passionate about home improvement. We also had the opportunity to walk through 500 booths and participate in countless design and renovation seminars. We saw a lot of great products that presented a powerful vision and innate sense of innovation.

We were thrilled to talk to the many different types of people that stopped by our eye-catching, Lazy Lee booth. Many of them were looking for a storage solution for their shoes, handbags and shirts, but one that didn’t take up even more space in their bedrooms. Others were simply curious about how spinning furniture worked and what its purpose is.

We told them that Lazy Lee’s goal is to transform people’s disorganized, cluttered or messy rooms into the organized spaces they’ve always dreamed of while saving them space in the process. Our spinning furniture doesn’t take up more space than it saves like some other solutions out there.

And, we don’t just offer storage solutions for people’s bedrooms. Our spinning furniture products go beyond shoe organizers and wardrobes, they include pantries, bedside tables and even wine racks (soon to come).

The Auckland Show was an incredible experience for us. It was made even better when we were awarded the 3rd most innovative exhibition at the show (that’s like getting a bronze facing 499 competitors)! What made us really stand out at the show Lazy Lee furniture’s built-in ROTAS technology, which is a rotating bearing-type mechanism that’s designed and tested to hold more than 4,300 kg (9,480 lbs) and rotate at the touch of a finger.

Our spinning furniture was such a hit at the home and building expo that two different radio stations picked up the story. We were also asked to share our story with “7 Sharp”, one of the most watched TV news programs in New Zealand. However, the program’s “Big and Small” segment which discussed innovative, space-saving solutions like ours was not aired because the 200+ Shoe Spinner unit was too tall to fit the video frame.

We had an incredible time at the Auckland Home Show. We had many trade show highlights and learned so much about home decor and new ways to integrate our spinning furniture into virtually any design aesthetic and space.
